@ejm09984199 @JoohnChoe Also, turning a blind eye to dictators conquering others in the hopes of avoiding war is EXACTLY how WWII started. Letting Ukraine hang out to dry all but guarantees Americans fighting in another world war. We either live in a world with laws and consequences, or we don't.

It wouldn't have taken much to stop the IRGC from killing their best and bravest. A few bombs against IRGC targets would have sent a clear message to cease the violence, and if they persisted, we would have intensified our strikes on even more sensitive sites until they finally stopped. All while our aircraft carrier groups were on their way under full steam

The uprising *did* happen, but the regime slaughtered tens of thousands of protesters with guns and chemical weapons. Then they sadistically and systematically moved from hospital to hospital, killing those who survived the bullets and chemical weapons. Despite Trump's promise to support the Iranian people if they took to the streets, we did *nothing* other than trust Khamenei’s VERY RELIABLE WORD that the killing would stop 🤦‍♂️ Now, it might require occupation to remove the regime. That's why, when we say we are going to do something, WE DO IT. Presidents Obama, Biden, AND Trump have ALL failed to understand this critical character trait and see the downside of not keeping your word 😤.

🗣️“Be brave. Take back your country.” That was Donald Trump’s message to Iranians as the US escalated its intervention. But three weeks on, the streets are not filled with protesters, they’re filled with pro-government crowds. What happened? Our correspondent in London explains why fear, repression and history have made regime change far less likely than Washington expected ⤵️ telegraph.co.uk/business/2026/…

@arieloq @Telegraph Families are hesitant to admit that their loved ones protested under this regime, fearing persecution of themselves and their families. As a result, the confirmed count is significantly underestimated. The true total likely exceeds 30,000 by a considerable margin.

@arieloq @Telegraph Nice try, IRGC propaganda bot. Considering so many were dumped into mass graves, it'll take time to get an exact number, but that number WILL be revealed, and those responsible will be hunted down for the rest of their lives so they can face justice.

@visegrad24 @Thebandit28 These people dont care. Like Trotsky, who was known for his appreciation of fine art and lived in London's trendy Bloomsbury. He also lived in NYC in a modern Bronx apartment, featuring a refrigerator, elevator, electric lights, gas stove, and telephone (all luxuries in 1917)

@MarioNawfal I mean, is there any other point in history where the side with the most naval power allowed the weaker side to blockade them without the stronger side reciprocating? 🤨 Genuinely curious. I doubt they teach this in our Naval Colleges.

@MarioNawfal I dont know what it is about Iran where all of our strategic thinking goes out of the window but if you want this to end sooner, you cut off their source of income (their oil sales) just as they are doing to the Gulf states that rely on that Strait.

@APColemanIII @highbrow_nobrow @jathorpmfm If by “research” you mean blindly accepting all fringe, unscientific sources that are likely funded by foreign propaganda that support his preconceived notions, while dismissing genuine, non-partisan medical studies that contradict him, then yes 🙄

@highbrow_nobrow @jathorpmfm Just saying “false” doesn’t make it so. I’m going out on a limb and guessing that RFK has done vastly more research and spent much more time looking into it than you ever have or ever will. Do better.

@grok @RpsAgainstTrump You were too slow Grok (or you didn't want to say). Apparently this whole hallway was part of Trump’s recent renovation to the White House, so he decided himself like a petty child to replace President Biden’s portrait with his autopen signature 🙄🙄🙄

@spectatorindex China won't because their tankers get through. Japan barely has the means to help. Eighty years is enough time to bury the hatchet, especially since they’ve had a new government structure It's time for everyone to move on and for the Japanese to be armed and capable once again.

@slantchev We've guilted Japan and Germany both to the point that many would rather roll over and die than defend themselves. That's clearly a toxic level of societal guilt being imposed on them for at least 2 generations too long 😣

@slantchev Poor Japan, WW2 is mentioned in nearly every country they visit. 80 years is enough time to bury the hatchet, especially since they have a new government structure and apologised for 80yrs It's time for everyone to move on, and for the Japanese to be armed and capable once more

Jesus. Fucking. Christ. Perhaps she should have retorted with "Who knows better about nuclear weapons than the United States? Why don't you tell me about Hiroshima and Nagasaki?" But of course, she's a normal person who understands diplomacy and not a demented toddler.
Adam Schwarz@AdamJSchwarz

Japanese PM Sanae Takaichi's reaction as Trump says "Who knows better about surprise than Japan? Why didn't you tell me about Pearl Habour?" Undoubtedly the worst American diplomatic gaffe in post-war US-Japan history.
