Micron Statement minus Corporate Jargon: Micron is getting out of the Crucial consumer business. They’re going to stop selling computer parts under the Crucial brand that everyday folks buy at stores or online. They’ll keep shipping that stuff until around February 2026. If you already bought something with the Crucial name on it, they’ll still honor the warranty and help with any issues. Why they’re doing it: Big tech companies and data centers need a ton of memory and storage because of all the new AI work going on. Micron wants to focus on selling to those big customers since that market is growing faster and makes them more money. So they’re ditching the smaller consumer side to put all their time and resources into the big fish. They’re thanking everyone who bought Crucial products over the years, the stores that sold them, and the workers who kept the brand going for almost three decades. What happens to employees: Micron says they’ll try to move people into other open jobs within the company so fewer folks get laid off. Bottom line: Micron is shifting its attention away from regular customers and toward big corporate buyers because that’s where they see better profit. Crucial products will slowly disappear from store shelves over the next few months, but warranties and support will still be handled.

Dumb and Dumber

I worked on two separate teams one majority women one majority men and there was a notable difference. The women team was on calls constantly but the point was venting. The men team calls were short and to solve problems. Calls so short people some could argue it was rude.
