In his spare time, Alex enjoys hiking or canoeing around the outdoors, especially with his Australian Shepherd. He has also recently taken an interest in rock climbing.

Alex is looking to advance his web-design skills by becoming more familiar with the Javascript ecosystem, especially application deployment using Docker. He is also interested in improving his Python capabilities with the goal to use it in an upcoming project.

Team member spotlight! @ecofilazola is a data scientist and computational ecologist working on creating tools that improve our ability to answer ecological questions. He is a relatively recent hire with ApexRMS starting earlier this year in April

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending time outside, being active, and visual arts – this currently looks like indoor bouldering, a little bit of yoga, and life drawing.

After a long break from python, Sarah's excited to be picking this coding language back up and expanding my data manipulation skills outside of R. She is also enjoying learning about the science that underlies the different types of models in the projects I’m involved in.
