they packed this movie with so many loving little details, man #projecthailmary 1. Grace sleeping right next to where Rocky's sleeping/healing, just resting against the xenonite tunnel AND moving his work closer to where Rocky's sleeping (the grace go home hopeful musical motif playing throughout most of the scene really makes it perfect) 2. the little timelapse near the end showing how Grace kept a CONSTANT watch over Rocky (so Rocky will feel safe & comfortable while healing) 3. Grace sobbing when he found out proof for Rocky's theory "LIFE IS REASON!" because that means the Time Go Fishing fiasco was worth it (also he needs his Rocky back) 4. Grace going through Rocky's things and holding & looking at the xenonite Grace figurine with tears in his eyes 😭 5. Grace's imaginary fight with Rocky over the name "taumoeba" 6. Grace sticking all the "good luck!" & "thank you for saving the world" messages on the wall of Rocky's xenonite tunnel even though Rocky can't see them (because Grace. needs. Rocky. back.) 7. Rocky tapping the glass 3 times upon waking up/healing because that's the last thing he was able to hear Grace do 8. the SWEETEST goddamn hug (both grace Rocky leaning hard into each other through the xenonite ball as tears roll down Grace's face) 9. "no...is yes?" (Love this little reference to the book scene) 10. Grace giving Rocky the sweetest smile 😭 11. Rocky's last message being "Save Earth.
