Inspired by @AvashiaNeema, @darjeun, and #NationalLibraryWeek, here's the WV library that supplied me with orange-covered biographies and Joan Aiken novels, where the writer I would become started to unfurl, to dream of the next word or chapter or book. @MarionCoLibs

This little library made me a reader, and then a writer. Within its walls, I only heard “Yes.” Yes, check out as many books as you can. Yes, read to understand the world and yourself. Celebrating libraries as cornerstones of both democracy and humanity, this week and always. ❤️

Nearly thirty years ago, a young writer submitted a short story to our then-editor Sidney Saylor Farr. It was his first publication, and now we're congratulating him on being named Kentucky's new poet laureate. Well done, @silasdhouse. We're so proud of you.
