Quarry sites are unpredictable. For many autonomous systems, changing terrain and shifting cycles lead to downtime. SDS for Construction is built differently. We treat every cycle as a feedback loop. Instead of failing when conditions change or GPS connectivity is lost, our system uses that data to adapt. The result? A fleet that becomes more efficient and intelligent every time it moves. Learn how we’re solving the unpredictability of haulage: appliedintuition.com/blog/applied-i…

In collaboration with Heidelberg Materials, we’re deploying autonomous haulage systems for their quarry operations, starting in Clarence Sands, Australia. Running directly on the vehicle, our system: ✅ Embeds perception, decision-making, and safety onboard ✅ Enables reliable operation without heavy site infrastructure ✅ Operates without constant connectivity SDS for Construction is making fleets smarter with every production cycle. The $15B Physical AI Company: 4 stack rewrites, end-to-end RL, neural sim, android for vehicles, trucks in Japan latent.space/p/appliedintui… @AppliedInt co-founders @qasar (CEO) and Peter Ludwig (CTO) explain why physical machines today look like phones before Android, why the real bottleneck in physical AI is deployment on constrained hardware, how neural simulation and statistical validation make autonomy safer, why Applied runs L4 driverless trucks in Japan, and why after 10 years they can predict the next 20 problems every robotics demo will hit.

Fleet logs can upload clean and still hide gaps, empty windows, or missing topics—then resim jobs fail late and pull teams into the wrong layer of debugging. We put quality metrics at ingestion and monitoring on the path to simulation, so unusable segments get filtered before compute, checks stay configurable as requirements evolve, and fixes land on platform time instead of across a fragmented toolchain. appliedintuition.com/engineering-bl…

Forbes AI 50 🤝 Applied Intuition
Forbes@Forbes

2026 #ForbesAI50 Artificial intelligence has become part of our lives, increasingly core to how we work, search for information and express ideas. In the last year, the startups spearheading this paradigm shift have raised gobs of money from venture firms to build applications used by hundreds of millions of people across professions like law, software engineering, banking and even music. Three years into the AI frenzy, startups are starting to prove they can turn lofty ideas into sustainable businesses. That’s evident in Forbes’ eighth annual AI 50 list, which spotlights the most promising privately-held AI companies in the world. Applied Intuition CEO Qasar Younis says building physical AI requires "radical pragmatism": "If there are verticals that we think we should be more vertical in, we'll do that." "I think it's a false tradeoff to say what we do in trucking is what we're going to do in construction, what we do in agriculture is what we're going to do in mining." "What we're really trying to do is bring intelligence out into the real world." @qasar on @tbpn

As vehicles become more software-defined, autonomy platforms can’t be static. They must evolve continuously over the lifetime of the vehicle, adapt to new hardware, sensors, regulations, and AI capabilities. Hardware-agnostic architecture makes this possible, enabling OEMs to move faster from development to production and scale autonomy across millions of vehicles, not just small fleets. Learn more about how hardware flexibility helps OEMs scale autonomy faster 👇 appliedintuition.com/blog/hardware-…
