It's hard to avoid the spoilers online!! Have to wait, promised Eva I'd catch it with her. I think real life has ALWAYS been scary, we just haven't been able to SEE everything before. Now we are. Plus, they've weaponized the media more against us with Mockingbird, so pushing fear is a real thing. But think about it...back in the day, there were plenty of real threats. Fisherman battling storms, pirates...going across the plains and dying of anything/bears/Indian attacks, winter storms and no heat, a bronchial infection and no drs close to you or no antibiotics...the threat of being bombed in WW2...it's always been scary. We can't live in fear or let them get to us, ya know? It's a low vibe way to live. "There are flowers everywhere if you choose to look."

NEW: Florida teacher fired after hanging a black doll with a cord wrapped around the doll’s neck in class. The incident happened at Barrington Middle School in Hillsborough County. One of the students says after class the teacher, Karen Savage, started following him when he went to report what happened. “After I saw what was happening, I just, like, decided that, like, I wanted to get proof that it actually happened,” middle school student Noah Carter said. “She followed me after class was over, and that’s when she started talking over me and not letting me speak when I was trying to report what she did.”

You do realize that while this was horrific, these people were sold BY those in charge in Africa, right? By their own people? And that most people in the USA did not own slaves, they picked their own cotton? Only the very, very wealthy could afford slaves. Very wealthy. Everyone else worked in the fields. Additionally, there was a massive influx of Scottish prisoners labeled "indentured servants" who were slaves first. Blaming all whites is...not accurate. All ethnicities were slaves. The word is derived from Slav...as in Slavic. Mayans, Romans, Vikings, Scottish, Irish, Indians, and so on. It was not a human right or moral issue. It was strictly a financial situation. I'm sure something we are doing TODAY we think nothing of will be considered horrific and shunned in history someday, too, as morally reprehensible.
