@SymphonyUK Absolutely! The key time to get this done is when the catering contract comes up for renewal. SLT management will be asked about the dysphagia aspect so it’s a great time to jump in and make a picture menu part of the contract. Loads of people need a picture menu

@carlystroke @JanAphasia Japan is great for picture menus! Would be lost without the pictures there. Hospitals should def try to have aphasia friendly menus too

At the end of the day supported convo prob most important but hard to find ppl to do it and be confident doing it

I made a lot of comm books that never been used cos don’t match pts skills or needs. Working with NH staff and trying to set areas of comm need/breakdown might help with planning categories. 🤨

Online database aphasia.ca/participics/ is free but not organised in themes I don’t think.
