I think islamists need to adopt a new mythology of the past to in order sufficiently beat nationalism. Perhaps to portray the Prophet as a Promethean figure whose efforts and sacrifices uplifted their race to be closer to divine perfection.

Is an "Anti-Modernity" even possible? A byproduct of Islamic civilisation's "triple catastrophe" in the early 20th century, an often reactionary posture and contemptuous attitude towards industrial civilisation has left Muslims unwilling and passive participants in a world not of their own making. The alternative is to become willing riders of the tiger, embracing the material reality we live in and becoming active agents in defining the world around us. @CrazyInvent0r This isn't an issue of fundamentalism vs laxism, or at least not just, diasporoids aren't going to take power they'll just assimilate into the cattle ass gentile mass It's not a winnable fight for diaspora, at least not under those parameters but people keep forcing it

@ArabianBilly__ You present a lot of good points but the only one I disagree with is “winning (taking power) is actually losing (becoming secular)” inherently you have to work with the median view of the population. You can’t just tout fundamental believe and expect the red carpet

@Lamingtons89 @KasurianMag @pashadelics As i said i don't think this is treading new ground just synthesising where the "debate" is but nothing new, no way to resolve it, because i don't think you can resolve it I think people are trying to create a middle ground where there isn't one but i may be wrong, who knows
