Christians of all generations in Qamishli, Syria, march and pray together to commemorate Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day. Families, youth, and elders gather in unity, marking 111 years as they remember the martyrs and honor their enduring legacy through faith and remembrance. Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day is observed each year on April 24 to honor the memory of the Armenians who suffered martyrdom during the Armenian Genocide. During this period, the Ottoman Empire carried out mass deportations and killings that led to the martyrdom of around 1.5 million Armenians. The day is marked by prayer, remembrance, and a commitment to preserve their memory. #EasternChristians #ArmenianGenocide #NeverForget #Qamishli #Syria

Today's Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day commemorates not only the first genocide of the 20th century, but also the first modern government-sponsored one, and that inspired the Nazi horrors. "Never Again" must not ring hollow.

On Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day, we remember the 1.5 million Armenians killed 111 years ago in a horrific genocide.   I was proud to be Speaker when Congress formally recognized the Armenian Genocide. And it was my honor to lead a Congressional delegation to visit the Tsitsernakaberd Genocide Memorial and pay respects to the men, women and children who were murdered.   By affirming the history of this tragedy, we work to make sure such horror can never again happen.

Today is the memorial day of the Armenian Genocide, during which 2 million Christians were murdered in Turkey between 1915 and 1923. Yesterday the victims were honored in a ceremony at the Riksdag.

In 1915 #OnThisDay, the Armenian Genocide began with mass arrests of intellectuals in Istanbul. Up to 1.5 million were killed. Germany knew early and stayed silent. To this day, Turkey refuses to call it genocide. Remembering is vital to understanding the present.

All armenians who live abroad arrived from 'genociders' land, so-called Turkey. Anatolia was the Armenian Highland before Tartaric Turks arrived from Altae Mountains, demolishing Armenian civilization islamatizing, culturifying original people. My many books on genocide on Amazon
