For those who care, Real pain is seeing people congratulate you for something seemingly deserved - yet your own reality doesn't match anything worth celebrating. somethings happened late last year that  pushed me into the darkest times of my life whilst also teaching me about relationships and finances - forcing me to come back to reality. Instead of prioritizing my self, I went on a path of "consideration" that's basically messed up my life. Looking back, I know now that I shouldn't have based life outcomes on things that were fundamentally unstable. I'll be very specific in the hopes that others can learn: I suffered a compromise late last year that led to the loss of my own funds and that of some others - totalling well over $7k. I literally sold everything on me to pay those involved and took on investigations myself, the idea was - I'd make it back from a swift MEGA launch with speculations at the time being January. So this wasn't a self-sacrifice situation - just more/less considering people first and trusting the process. Looking back now - I shouldn't have done that considering the key word SPECULATION - I should've been more certain before making any decisions. Eventually, mega took 6 more months to launch and in those 6 months - I had to live with the cost of sacrificing everything on me to pay those involved, and it didn't even stop there: Mega had so much hype at the time of investment - we were seeing $5B as feasible. Fast-forward 6 months later and reality became clearer than ever and holding $2B was even uncertain. So the investment projections that gave me the confidence to pay off something I was a victim of - something that is legally considered dispute - that confidence ended up being shattered due to everything from market conditions to the mega team's own decisions. It was just down only for me overall and even though I was showing up here, most days I was begging to feed. I didn't expect that delay + hype drop and I regret not considering myself. so zero blames on anyone here - these were all my choices. Launch day came and I clipped a little to settle more debts - held a huge chunk trusting/thinking there'll be better price action. that didn't play out too as you know. I planned to invest in an IRL venture that required a specific sum & unfortunately, MEGA just went down only so I ended up selling for far less & settling for a substandard version of that venture which I am currently regretting. What is this venture you might ask? PS (don't mean to put my business here but whilst writing this, I reasoned that if we're all looking to make bank as young people, it'll probably be noteworthy to share my own experience of going into something IRL that I think could give me money) Remember the bolt/Uber thing i did a report on last year? Top drivers earn as high as 1M+ net monthly. I reasoned it's a good side hustle and with good savings discipline, I could add it to upskilling here and get out of debt. The plan was to get a Corolla since it was the most preferred economical and profitable option - but even those are priced at 5M+ and unfortunately, MEGA kept going down only so I was forced to cut my losses and what I could salvage could only afford a Honda Accord. I paid installmentally and was only able to balance roughly 1 week ago... Guess what? - I got duped 500k by a mechanic due to my inexperience - partially because they wouldn't let me take the car till I paid in full. So I wasn't able to test drive and catch on to how the mechanic I paid for extra repairs was not only obtaining money from me fraudulently - but he was also not even fixing the car. That's not even the worst part... I paid the car off last week and less than 4 days in (haven't even begun fully driving btw) - a major issue with the car came up and after dialogue with the dealer - he sent his mechanic to come pick the car up saying he'll fix it so I can at least - 👇
