Arbitration Agreements:Where It All Begins. The strength of arbitration lies in the agreement. An arbitration clause is not just another provision in a contract, it is a choice. A deliberate choice to resolve disputes differently. And here is the beauty, parties can agree on almost everything. The process, the rules, even the arbitrator. Learn how to draft arbitration agreements and clauses well. It is a skill that will distinguish you early in your career. This training is a good place to begin. #LetsVibeADR

#Mediation is about interests, not positions.
It shifts the conversation from “I win, you lose” to “What do we each truly need?” This is why we choose to love enough to care, listen enough to understand, and resolve with intention. By looking beyond the surface, we uncover shared ground and build bridges where all parties can move forward. Join us for the “Love, Listen, Resolve” workshop on 31st January 2026, where we will explore cyber bullying, social media disputes, and online dispute resolution. Love. Listen. Resolve. #LetsVibeADR #YouthADR #ConflictResolution #MediationMatters #ODR #CyberWellbeing

Congratulations, to these certified #Mediators @MuyaakaAlfred , @LionelKevin20 , Flavia Namulut and #Arbitration Practitioners @NicholasKakooz1 @NNkamwesig67820 This was the year these members of ours chose listening over arguing. Somewhere between long days, learning-by-doing trainings, and quiet resolve. Titles were earned, not given. Certified #Mediators. #Arbitration Practitioners. Not as labels, but as responsibility. This was the year they trained their minds to hold conflict with care, and learned that peaceful resolution is not weakness. It is wisdom. Each name on this flyer carries the courage to sit where tensions meet. We celebrate not just their accreditation, but their growth. Not just their certificates, but their character. Because to mediate is to believe that people can still meet halfway. And to arbitrate is to trust that fairness can be reasoned into being. Proud of the year that shaped our members. This was the year they became. Congratulations. #LetsVibeADR

HEALING THROUGH DIALOGUE: THE ROLE OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE IN CONFLICT RESOLUTION ADR continues to show us that conflict is not just a legal issue, it is a human one. It helps preserve relationships, build understanding and create solutions that last. This is why emotional intelligence is becoming such an important skill for anyone involved in resolving disputes. During our monthly workshop on 29th November 2025, guided by our facilitators Mark Wycliff Iragaba and Nyanzi Caleb Douglas, we shared insights on what ADR is, why it matters and why young people must continue leading the conversation on peaceful conflict resolution in Uganda. A big focus of the session was emotional intelligence, especially self-awareness. Understanding our emotions, knowing what triggers us and learning how to control our reactions can greatly improve how we handle conflict. When ADR practitioners appreciate the emotional side of a dispute, they can better guide parties toward solutions that are both meaningful and lasting. We also discussed how emotional intelligence helps us navigate difficult conversations. Managing our tone, showing empathy, listening carefully and acknowledging the other person’s perspective can turn a tense moment into a productive dialogue. The workshop brought together certified mediators, arbitration practitioners, law students, bankers and other professionals, all committed to strengthening their ability to manage disputes peacefully. Their presence reminded us that the future of conflict resolution depends not only on legal knowledge, but also on emotional strength and understanding. As ADR continues to grow in Uganda, emotional intelligence will remain a key tool, one that helps us heal, restore and transform relationships through dialogue. #LetsVibeADR.
