Hello. I am Arben. I don’t want to reinvent anything. I cherish the things in this world that bring me joy. Columbo is one. I just want to keep the tradition alive for folks like me who love Columbo. Same for Norm. I love Norm. I cannot recreate or reinvent Norm, who was one of the funniest people ever. My entire presence on X is my homage to Norm. I remember when I first saw Norm. My sense of humor didn’t really make sense until I saw Norm. And then I knew what funny was and I knew a person with my sensibilities and humor. And I haven’t looked back since. It’s silly, absurd, hopefully funny, dry, deadpan with roots in simple delivery, Russian authors and Christianity. I take shots at every “ism” that I can think of. Sometimes they land, sometimes they cross the line. Im ok with that. You have to walk the razors edge. Occasionally , I find a Rhythm that reminds me of Norm and I do my best to pay my respects when I see the Rhythm, hence all of the “Miss you, Norm” comments. x.com/i/grok/share/3…

As someone who always had their intellectual property violated and stolen by internet users for 15 years, it’s rich hearing people whine about AI training on their intellectual property. You basically never had any unless you were Sony, Disney, or someone who can sit in court as a business model. I have friends who used to get bank from claim court because strip clubs kept stealing Playmates photos for their business ads. They still had to appear in court rooms, and they had to prove lost wages from the theft. No one cares when you have your pictures stolen for the assorted nefarious reasons that are harder to substantiate value stripped from you, but it was still unlawful and harmful to have done to us, and the international businesses were infamous for doing image theft consequence free. Where was any defense of our intellectual property as creators? Elegant arguments to defend the intellectual property of corporations who can sue everyone into the ground is something that makes me turn a podcast off, because of my own experiences. Two tier justice everywhere.

Hello. I am Arben. I am not a musician, I can only tell you what I hear and what I like. The Police, Cake, and Red Hot Chili Peppers had bass that I resonated with (pun intended). An actual musician can shoot me down in 2 seconds with one zillion reasons that I’m wrong, but this is my experience.

Hello. I am Arben. For the life of me, I don’t understand why people don’t put date and time in the lower third. Seems like “when did this happen” would be something that people would like to know. Nobody watches live TV, we all see it on demand on the inter webs. Add a timestamp, already.

Hello. I am Arben. No, I don’t block anybody and I talk to everybody in a way that is hopefully fun. I think most people spot that and give me a pass. Minimal fireworks, despite the inflammatory rhetoric. Either that, or I am just extremely unpopular. I hope to get an 8th follower next year.
