You don't tell the (your) truth because you're a coward. Risking sleeping on the couch is really that bad? If you decide that's what's going to happen and you want to avoid something as adorable as that... That's a lack-of-courage problem. You stay silent because you feel threatened by imaginary/harmless things and then your system goes to dorsal shutdown. We also call it stonewalling or giving the cold shoulder. Sometimes it also has a gas lighting effect. Instead of connection you are using your body to attack (even anticipation of attack is attack) - it is separation, and with it tend to come guilt, anticipation of punishment, and other katabolic illusions about your safety, emotions, and the internal world of your partner. Risk the couch, say what you need to say. Then stay and hear her out - and sure, sometimes hearing her out means you'll say, "okay, I hear ya" when the answer is "I don't know why, but you're wrong." There's no reason to need to jump in and try to fix everything. Nothing real can be threatened.

I predicted this a week ago. Trump is going to purge the cartels from Mexico, the Caribbean and South America. He's working top-down. Maduro and Venezuela were the big piece. Leo Silva, a former DEA special agent and group supervisory agent in Mexico, told me in conversation on the Brave New Normal podcast that Maduro has long been known as a top of the mountain figure in transnational narcotics, and has actively been working on behalf of cartels since he replaced Chavez (episode premieres March 18th). The US took out Maduro first because Venezuela is a major transport point for cocaine, fentanyl and methamphetamine moving north through the southern hemisphere. Taking out Maduro left a huge gap in that transportation route. El Mencho was next because of his influence in Mexico and power over Mexican government and authorities. Now the US is bringing down the hammer to secure the American continent. This is what Trump meant by America First—it's not just a mission to secure the United States of America, it's a mission to secure THE AMERICAS, which means north, south and the Caribbean. Trump and his administration know that the cartels own this part of the world, and that the cartels are working hand in hand with China. The Cuba purge will be an overnight operation. The Latin America purge will be a much longer battle but no match for US, Mexican and Salvadoran special forces. If the US can break up the cartels and shut down the transportation routes then they will starve out whatever remains. This is America First in action. It's not about empire building, it's about securing the empire that already exists.

Today, we launched a historic effort at @SOUTHCOM — the first ever America’s Counter-Cartel Coalition (A3C). Military leaders from across the Caribbean, Central America, and South America joining together to aggressively and urgently confront threats to our homeland and hemisphere. The Trump Corollary to the Monroe Doctrine is in full effect.

There will be no modern-day story or gameplay in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced according to recent reports. It will be entirely cut from the game. Is this a good decision?

@usedgov Parents are so anxious and dysregulated. Working 2 jobs. Making ends meet. So many worries. Reading books is the last thing on their list. We do give out books in our clinic to our kids and advocate it.

In most cases yes but if the parents are working two or three jobs to keep a roof over their head and food on the table it’s hard. They are extremely exhausted by the time they sit down the child might already be in bed for the night. It’s not the 1970’s or 1980’s. The parents today need more help.

@unusual_whales Yeah… that’s what happens when strategy gets replaced by ego. Allies don’t just boost your credibility — ignoring them usually makes things messier and riskier
