@ArcArtist96 If this Aang movie and the Seven Havens series flop on Paramount+, it would tell the execs that the Avatar franchise isn’t worth investing in further. In fact, the original 3 movie plan seems like it was abandoned once Aang got put on Paramount+ instead of cinemas.

I do think it's hilarious that people are THIS concerned about a franchises financial prospects.
Paramount is treating Avatar like Disney is treating Star Wars and their most popular animated franchise behind SpongeBob.
SpongeBob had two movies leak and it's doing fine.

Please don’t watch the leaked Avatar. This isn’t just about early access or hype, it affects real people who spent years bringing it to life. From animators to editors to VFX artists, so many jobs and livelihoods are tied to the success of the official release. Leaks take away proper credit, reduce support for the people behind the scenes, and can even put future projects at risk. If you truly respect the work, the talent, and the effort that went into it, wait for the official release and support it the right way

@ArcArtist96 Movie was on X briefly; saw it up to the credits. Main thoughts? It was good enough, but not drive-10-minutes-to-the-movie-theater-and-sit-my butt-down-in-a-germ-filled-movie-theater-seat-with-overpriced-food good. Kicking it to streaming was the right call.

@Ambrose1984BAS I could look past the voice acting thing. They sound like what older versions of the OG would though Aang's voice just wasn't up to par.
The animation is great but I'm not a fan of that shiny glarey composited look they've been using since Korra. It takes all the color out.

We especially need more gritty 3D animation!
Stuff like Beast Wars, Shadow Raiders, and Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles.

Whether you consider this indie or not this is a colossal failure of Hollywood right here.
I can find better animation on YouTube for free vs. the stuff you must pay to see both in theatres and on streaming networks with considerably higher budgets.
