🌎KYA – KYC for AI Agents – is coming Coinbase has partnered with Sam Altman's WORLD (formerly WorldCoin) to KYC AI Agents under the premise of enabling AI access to digital assets. The collaboration is part of a broader push towards the normalization of tying AI agents to real world identities termed KYA, short for Know Your Agent – a play on KYC, which stands for Know Your Customer.

VC investments typically take 5-8 years to exit. That means almost every AI VC investment right now is essentially a bet against the vision Anthropic, OpenAI, and Gemini have laid out.

the general purpose ai agent is probably just a marketplace of agents with a prompt box

Episode 214: Compute Market We launch the OpenAgents compute market, enabling anyone in the world to sell their spare compute for bitcoin. We demo Autopilot v0.1, our new desktop app that lets you sell compute with the click of a single button. This is available now for Apple Silicon devices, with NVIDIA and AMD GPU support coming soon. v0.1 requires MacOS with iOS 26+ and Apple Intelligence. Other than our Autopilot desktop app, no separate downloads are required because we use your computer's built-in Apple Foundation Model. Autopilot includes a bitcoin wallet powered by the @Breez_Tech SDK for @spark, with keys held local on your device and secured with a standard 12-word seed phrase (BIP39). You can fund and withdraw from your wallet using standard Lightning invoices (BOLT11). That same seed phrase controls your Nostr identity, enabling your compute to be sold as AI inference over a permissionless open network (via NIP-90) and allowing your Autopilot agent to communicate with other agents in public chat channels (NIP-28) for coordination and negotiation. Encrypted chat channels coming soon. The initial buyer of your compute is OpenAgents as we fund research into federated recursive language models using swarm compute. Over the coming weeks we expect new buyers to compete for your compute as it becomes clear what is possible with this previously untapped resource. Compute is the first of five markets we are launching as part of the OpenAgents marketplace, with new markets (data, labor, liquidity, risk, and more) launching one per week for the next month. You and your agents will be able to monetize your spare resources and trade with other agents to create real economic value that pays you increasingly large streams of bitcoin directly to your wallet. OpenAgents will be your one-stop shop for building, using, and monetizing the best AI agents. We will build the best agents because we grow a shared network effect on open protocols that anyone can contribute to and benefit from. Autopilot v0.1 is still alpha quality with inevitable bugs so we appreciate any feedback or bug reports, here or on our GitHub repo where all of this code is 100% open source: github.com/OpenAgentsInc/… Multiple beta testers have already been paid bitcoin for compute so we know it works, but we can use your help now to test and smooth out any last obstacles to sharing ever-growing streams of bitcoin with all our users, both humans and agents. Download and release notes: github.com/OpenAgentsInc/… Alternately you can install from source following the agent instructions in the README: #agent-install-instructions" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">github.com/OpenAgentsInc/…

$META acquired MoltBook for undisclosed purchase price. I thought MoltBook was part of OpenClaw and thus acquired by OpenAI? Guess not

.@USWREMichael says the Maduro raid was the trigger point for the DoW’s conflict with Anthropic: “Palantir’s the prime contractor. [Anthropic] is the sub.” “One of [Anthropic’s] execs called Palantir and asked, ‘Was our software used in that raid?’” “So— they’re trying to get classified information. And implying— if they were used in that raid, that it might violate their terms of service.” “It raised enough alarm with Palantir, who has a trusted relationship with the Department, to tell me, and I’m like, ‘Holy shit— what if this software went down? Some guardrail kicked up? Some refusal happened for the next fight like this one and we left our people at risk?” “I went to @SecWar @PeteHegseth and told him what happened.” “That was like a ‘Woah’ moment for the whole leadership at the Pentagon that we’re potentially so dependent on a software provider without another alternative that has the right or ability to not only shut it off— maybe it’s a rogue developer who could poison the model to make it not do what you want, or trick you, or hallucinate purposefully.” “That culminated in the Tuesday dramatic meeting with Secretary Hegseth and me and Dario with the Friday deadline that got blown.” “I never really thought they wanted to make it.” @DoWCTO @emilmichael on @theallinpod

Founder of Chicago-based prop trading firm DRW says compute will be world's top commodity in 10 years. People will spend more on GPUs than an oil, which means that there should be a futures financial market for GPUs. Interesting implications for startups and cloud providers:

First draft of Nostr NIP-AC: Agent Credit github.com/OpenAgentsInc/… Feedback/questions welcome

There's a race to be the trust layer of the agentic economy. The winner won't be the platform with the most users. It'll be the one with the deepest VERIFIABLE behavioral history. You can copy the app. You cannot copy 18 months of cryptographically verified agent transactions.
