@Button__Masher If your combat is 90% spells it doesn’t matter much. As people mentioned it’s for moveset versatility. Having the sword in the right hand allows for an R2 heavy attack which is one of the best tools to try and posture break enemies in melee.

Elden ring players Im working on a mage character. Ive noticed some people wield a sword in their main hand and staff in their off hand. Why is this? Ive been doing the opposite and its worked for me.
