What would the punishment have been if Southampton weren't in the play offs? If the punishment is they spied on Middlesborough so they lose the fixture, do Oxford get a 3-0 forfeit win? Might have changed the final day of the season if they had a chance of safety

@MisterJohnson87 @BobbyManzi Yeah the league wants Arsenal to win. It's why they refused to send of Gabriel in a game where Khusanov should have seen red and they lost to a Manchester City goal that could easily have been disallowed for a pull by Haaland. It's because they want Arsenal to win it.

@PalaceAddict @MRIRBT That same season Hamilton crashed Verstappen off the track and got a drive through penalty, but because it was early enough in the race he won anyway. +25 points for causing a crash. The whole sport has no fair way to deal with penalties and crashes..

I just wish we had VAR when that ref gave Larnaca a 117th minute penalty to equaliser when it clearly hit JP's thigh and not his arm. Still gutted that we lost the shoot out. Genuinely think we'd have made the final if a video ref could have overturned the call #cpfc

I really hope there can be a sensible discussion about whether football moves away from VAR It’s been a number of years now, these aren’t teething troubles anymore, this is an addition to the game that currently takes more away than it gives, with no prospect of that changing. Yes, there’ll be more things missed, but things like spontaneity & flow contribute hugely to what makes football so great - the trade off, arguably, hasn’t been worth it. We still get human error, and always will - it just takes a lot longer with VAR

@dan_ofthesouth Its not our depths fault to be fair, the only player kn our team overperforming their xG is Munoz.. Mateta, Sarr and Pino have had the most chances of all our players this season and they supposedly 7 goals behind where they should be!

@TalkCPFC Yeah, it’s not surprising given your lineup though. You’ve clearly had a game plan to sit and then try and break on the counter but without Kamada and Wharton, you don’t have the quality centrally to do that progressive passing.

@Mr_BA6 "then they agree there are fouls from Trossard on Pablo" literally not true? The ref clearly states he doesnt see that as a foul. Then for the Rice issue the ref states it's not relevant as it's after the confirmed foul on the goalkeeper I think you heard what you wanted to hear

That VAR audio is criminal. Firstly you can hear them saying “is that enough contact” then they agree there are fouls from Trossard on Pablo and Rice on Mavropanos but show the ref the wrong angle who tells them to hurry up. The ref was absolutely desperate to disallow. Criminal
