SATURDAY NAP🐎 5.10-NEWCASTLE PRIMA BAILARINA 9/4 (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) Well related filly who holds an entry in the irish guineas, finished 4th on debut at Redcar in a C5 and although that may look like an average start to her racing career on the surface I believe it was a race hotter than the grade suggested with the very well backed favourite back in third beating our filly by a neck, she stuck to the task well that day seeming to get the hang of things the more the race progressed after being slowly out the gate. Ed Walkers horses usually need the experience first time out and come on plenty for it so do expect to see a much more forward and streetwise filly today. The favourite in this race Darn Hot Gallop was well supported on debut in a weaker race and has to carry a 7lb penalty for that success today which is never easy to do and will certainly need to take a good step forward again to make it 2/2. Couple of reasons this is a four star bet today and I always like to mention what is needed from my selection/the drawbacks, one is she obviously needs to show the expected improvement on course the form isn’t already in the book despite clearly working well at home with the fancy entries and the switch to the AW obviously a different surface but I don’t think this will be a problem at all judging by her action, she is also going round Newcastle which is as similar as you can really get to Redcar when switching from turf to AW as both are ran over the straight mile. I am also betting a NEXT BEST today as have had a bit of info through that SANDS OF SEVE 5/2 (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) is ready to win on handicap debut for the Robert Cowell team after a few months off the track running in the 4.55 at Wolverhampton, one of my more trusted sources. If you fancy getting stuck into the double it pays around 10/1 today although always prioritise singles the double should always just be a bonus.

She ran well beaten less than a length and was doing all her best work late in the day. This step up to 7f should see her improve again and she looks good value to come out on top under Declan Browne McMonagle. The likeable MY MATE ALFIE won this last year beating Big Gossey and that may well be the way this turns out again. I know he needs to bounce back from that Haydock run but that came at the top level and this is obviously much easier. He is well suited by this track and I'm expecting him to bounce back in a big way against these. Both Of Us is thriving and is hard to go against but QUEEN ROSLYN also impressed winning over further here last time and back down to a mile and a half could follow up under Callum Rodriguez. She remains unexposed and looks a good each way price against the jolly so worth chancing. I know GRAN DESCANS was well held at Haydock but I think the step up in trip and the rise in grade both counted against him. He also did too much early on and then ultimately paid the price. He was progressive prior to that blip and back down in trip and in these calmer waters he should have more to come off this mark. This is definitely winnable and I'm confident he can get the job done. This should be a great chance for GLORY TO BE to open her account. She has been improving with experience and looked a bit unlucky to miss just a short head over C&D last month. She was denied right on the line and the winner is a nice filly who wasn't disgraced in a tougher race at Fairyhouse next time out. The softer ground is no issue and she looks hard to oppose with exposed maiden Washington Street the danger. Tricky race but if ROGUE ENCORE puts his best hoof forward he might go close. He has been hit and miss and struggled at Ripon last time. Before that though he missed just a short head over track and trip and only 2lb higher than that here returned to this venue could see him spark back into life. This is definitely easier and his form figures here of 31142 tell you he could easily be capable of a big run.
