Starting medicine residency in India? These are my recommendations to the first year medicine residents-
1. Washington manual - handy book, keep it always in your bag. Will help you a lot.
2. Baltazar ECG - the best book for ECG(people may argue). Don't go for schamroth ecg just because it's a tradition in your institute.
Also use litfl.com/ecg-library/
3. @ArchithBoloor clinical medicine is gradually replacing Arup Kundu's bedside clinics. You can have any of them. I personally feel Archith Boloor Sir's book has an edge over others.
4. Can't look beyond Harrison. It will be overwhelming to even attempt to read Harrison in 1st year but try n read the 1st portion - cardinal manifestation of diseases
5. Make small notes if possible (depends upon how much free time you get).
