@greentaba_ If you’re talking about long vowels then yeah they can be, like in New Zelander and British dialects, words like Bar or Car aren’t pronounced like Ba-ur but they just hold the vowel for longer, ba-a

When we say aeiou and sometimes y it should also be and usually u because u is sometimes not a vowel like in unicorn and Ulysses (y is a vowel in Ulysses, funnily enough)
