The developmental disability community achieved a major victory with the signing of AB 2423 (Mathis), which will require the state to update the rate models every other year that are used to determine payments to regional center service providers, and to fund those new rates subject to an appropriation by the Legislature. Thank you to more than 5,000 advocates who took action and contacted the Governor to encourage his support. And THANK YOU to @CAgovernor @GavinNewsom for signing AB 2423 into law. Register now for the first ever PUBLIC FORUM by the California Civil Rights Department "Commission on the State of Hate" on Thursday, September 26 at 5:30 p.m. online and/or in-person.
