I don't think people realize how dead pokemon and crypto was in 2023
both of them topped late 2021 / early 2022 and then everyone quit and stopped caring
I was going to Pokemon card shows every weekend in 2023 and you could buy literally any grail you wanted for basically nothing compared to today's prices
BTC was at $16K and SOL was at $8 in early 2023
the real memecoin run didn't even happen yet
I went all in on both and it paid off in such a huge way
this is a constant reminder to stick around the markets you believe in even when it feels "dead"

@spacepixel @ArcticBlock Walt Disney isnt a single IP... they own a bunch of stuff, and make money off more avenues that arent really relevant to the TCG growth.. things like:
- pixar
- marvel
- national geographic
- star wars
There's no single IP they own that rivals One Piece

I sold all my crypto a year ago and went all in on stocks and silver.
I am now up 30% on my stock portfolio and 150% on silver.
While at the same time, I’d be down 50% if I had continued holding crypto.
It was one of the most impactful investment decisions of my life.
I know a ton of people who made a lot of money in crypto.
But many missed the exit and kept bagholding tokens down 70%.
A lot of people in crypto have this hatred toward TradFi, and I honestly don’t understand why.
The reality is that the S&P 500 will continue to be an up-only chart over the next 100 years if you zoom out.
Meanwhile, most crypto tokens will probably continue trending toward zero.

To be honest, I thought TCGs would peak in May. But it might have just been the starting. Im seeing more of CT trying out Pokemon gachas. Everyone loves the system. The same adrenaline you get when revealing NFTs or waiting for that memecoin to spike. It’s a very addictive gamified system that could onboard millions. Paired with how TCGs prices are going parabolic, money to be made here is insane.
