Great reporting from @malte_humpert on the cloak-and-dagger operations of the FSB (successor to KGB) and their takeover of western crew on Russia’s Arc7 Arctic LNG carriers. Don’t tell me you don’t want Canadian LNG displacing these villains. highnorthnews.com/en/how-russias…

The Arctic is where we build warfighters with grit, who fight through unforgiving conditions and never quit. JPMRC 25-02 is where cohesive teams of some of the most adaptive, lethal soldiers the Army has to offer are tested. And proven. #ArcticAngels x #JPMRC

@JohnPet69972896 @SamuelFByers There's not much that can be done at the peer level until there is solid evidence that is state sanctioned/connected. For now, it remains a criminal sub-state actor issue. Hence, why there are no sanctions yet.

Annihilating the fish stocks of other countries is a feature—not a bug—of China's illegal fishing Small, maritime states suddenly lose a main food source? I wonder who will be there to swoop in with strings-attached aid They'll remember China killed fishing, but have no choice
Andrew Côté@Andercot

China is depleting the world's oceans of fish. Estimates are between 200,000 - 800,000 fishing vessels, going as far as Argentina. They account for ~half of the worlds fishing catch and do not respect stewardship protocols to preserve ecosystems. This is power projection.
