UPDATE: Due to recent events we are revising plans for next week's event. For safety reasons we will no longer hold a picnic. Instead, those willing to join the inclusive conversation can come in to the Ards Arts Centre from 2.00-3.00, Sunday 18 Aug, and meet the neighbours.

The mosque has been in Ards for more than 20 years, its members are our neighbours, friends & colleagues.  It is a great relief that the nobody was hurt. There is no justification for racism, violence & intimidation in our communities and like others I would call for it to stop.

1) I condemn in the stongest possible terms the heinous attack on the Muslim prayer centre in Newtownards. This attack is on, people, our neighbours, who live, work & school their children here, who work in the NHS, local.shops & are a part of our community. It is unacceptable!
