2025 resolution: Remember how lucky we are to exist.
The chances of being born are impossibly tiny. If one couple in our whole family tree didn't survive, meet, mate, and get a 1/400 quadrillion sperm-egg match, there would be no us.
It’s a miracle that anyone we love is alive.

H5N1 not a reason to be terrified. We know a lot about zoonotic flu, have been preparing for it 20 yrs (unlike when COVID began), + we have candidate vaccines, antivirals, diagnostics

@trevortombe I work for Parks, buying goods & services. When people talk about taxes like they're vacuumed up in a void I tell them to look at the amount of money spent operating things like our parks. Also responsible for highways, waterways in parks, think how vital some of those routes are

Fun fact: national parks aren’t cash cows. They lose tonnes of money (but that’s okay! They aren’t businesses). Banff probably loses less, but overall non-govt revenue is barely more than ten cents on the dollar of expenses.
