Los Angeles police just released bodycam footage of a deadly pursuit that ended in a shooting on April 8. Officers spotted a stolen BMW and initiated a chase onto the 5 Freeway. The driver Jesus Ernesto Jaime, 30, made a U-turn on the Olympic off-ramp and crashed head-on into police vehicles. He then exited the car and pulled a loaded 9mm Glock from his waistband and pointed it directly at an officer. Officers returned fire and the suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. Both officers survived. A second loaded firearm - a .357 Magnum revolver - was also recovered from inside the vehicle. Two people were in that stolen BMW. The passenger surrendered immediately and walked away in handcuffs. The driver pulled a loaded gun on officers and did not walk away.
