Nigeria’s telecom story is quietly turning a corner. Under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (@officialABAT), the focus has shifted from basic access to real performance faster internet, clearer calls, and wider coverage now being felt nationwide, clear signs that #TinubuGains are reaching everyday Nigerians.
With improved transparency, stronger digital security, and smarter tools for consumers backed by Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy (@FMCIDENigeria) Nigerians are now more informed, protected, and empowered to choose better networks.
There’s also been progress on the consumer side. With stricter SIM registration, cases of fraud are reducing, transparency is improving, and issues like failed transactions are now resolved much faster, showing a stronger focus on user protection.
At the same time, telecom operators are ramping up investments, over ₦1 trillion in 2025, with about ₦1.7 trillion projected for 2026. With the Presidential Order on Critical National Information Infrastructure in place, telecom assets now have added protection nationwide.
