I struggled badly the morning I made this video Every morning, I wake up in my tent and check the news. It is the first thing I do. Then I write to the people around me. I ask my commander the same question: Are my guys okay? More often than not, there is bad news. Even editing this video has been difficult because the murder of an entire family cannot be tied to one single day in Ukraine. Multiple families have been wiped out this July, just as families have been wiped out every month of this war. Our governments avoid calling it genocide because naming it would demand action. Meanwhile, people online argue about whose responsibility it is to intervene, as though the Budapest Memorandum never existed. As though Ukraine simply surrendered one of the world’s largest nuclear arsenals and received nothing in return. As though our countries made no promises. As though we owe Ukraine nothing. I carry four years of pain on this walk. But in Ukraine, you do not get time to grieve one tragedy before the next one arrives. There are always more bodies. More faces. More families. More of the worst news you have ever received. So you carry it. And you keep walking. Some days, that is almost impossible. This is why I am doing this walk. This is why I am out here through the rain, the heat, the pain and the exhaustion, fighting to raise money for my soldiers. So they do not become a headline. A flag over a coffin. A name carved into stone. So they can come home. It is difficult to explain what it feels like to fight at the front while russia continues stealing entire families from the rear. People sleeping in their homes. Children beside their parents. Lives erased in an instant by someone who never had to see their faces. There was a time when killing required you to stand close enough to understand that the person in front of you was human. Now someone can press a button from hundreds of kilometres away, walk away from the screen and never see the family they murdered. These are not accidents. These are war crimes. And I hope russia is forced to answer for every home destroyed, every child murdered, every family erased and every life stolen from Ukraine. Until then, we carry them. Big congrats!! We are also parents of twins, & because we had zero experience w babies, that first year was a rough ride!! I suggest you check out the nationwide group, Mothers of Multiples. They were super helpful for us! And if you have zero baby experience, get the book Happiest Baby on the Block & follow their advice. Great info.

This is the most INSANE bear situation I’ve ever seen in TN. I’ve had a bear steal my chainsaw & make national news, I’ve seen bears get locked in cars, I’ve seen them rip off the jeep tops…but I’ve NEVER seen one actually break the glass to get in. This was sent to me by my property mgr from a cabin in Gatlinburg. Guest left their @BurgerKing bag in the car. That bear wanted that burger some kinda bad. It got it…but the guest lost a window and door in the process! The funniest thing is he seems to be casing the place after he breaks it open, looking both ways to make sure no one is coming.
