At the center sits the American Youth Academy (AYA), a $15-million Islamic mega-school (one of the largest in the country) designed to preserve Islamic identity across generations rather than integrate into American society.
AYA is the rebranded successor to the Islamic Academy of Florida, founded in 1992 by Sami Al-Arian and Mazen al-Najjar — both later convicted or imprisoned for ties to Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), a designated terrorist organization. PIJ leader Ramadan Shalah also taught there before the name change.
The campus sits directly beside Masjid al-Qassam, named after the jihadist whose legacy inspires both PIJ and Hamas. Former mosque leader Hatem Naji Fariz pleaded guilty to providing material support to PIJ and remains active in the community.
This ecosystem is now under the influence of the Elkadi dynasty. Magda Elkadi Saleh - daughter of the former national “General Mas’ul” of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood — previously led AYA for 11 years and continues shaping similar institutions like Bayaan Academy and Universal Academy of Florida.
All of them receive millions in Florida taxpayer dollars through school choice/voucher programs — subsidizing the very schools building a parallel society and cohesive voting bloc.
Politicians from Tampa Mayor Jane Castor to St. Petersburg officials and Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office now openly pander with official Iftars, green-lit buildings, and proclamations.
It is no surprise Florida AG James Uthmeier had to intervene against Castor’s sanctuary-style policies.
The Muslim Brotherhood has captured the whole Tampa Bay area, from mayors to police leadership. We are watching part of a solid red state fall to civilization jihad, financed by Florida taxpayers.
This isn’t organic diversity. It’s an infrastructure-driven takeover.
Florida officials must launch a full investigation into these generational ties, terrorist-linked origins, and the misuse of public funds.
