I'm so tired of the hypocritical "both-sidesism" and false equivalence made by the Western politicians who dominate the UN. Iran has a clearly established right under international law to retaliate in self-defense against a US war of aggression. Why is the UN condemning Iran for using force in self-defense? It's the party that was attacked first! It's the victim! How else is Iran supposed to defend itself against the US? The only option it has is to strike US military bases across the region. Iran doesn’t have the ability to hit the US on the other side of the world. As the UN secretary-general, António Guterres has an obligation to defend international law in the interest of the Global Majority. 86% of humanity lives in the Global South, but Guterres has long shown that he is extremely biased in the interest of the genocidal imperialist regimes that make up the mere 14% of the population in the West. It's even more ridiculous when one considers the severe economic problems that the UN is currently facing, because 95% of the money it is due is owed by the US! The genocidal US rogue regime is quite literally forcing the UN into bankruptcy, but the European politicians who run the organization are constantly bending over backward for Washington. It's beyond shameful.
