Powerful call during #NACC2019: Look beyond statistics of #fosteryouth; believe in young people's potential - and work to increase their resilience to thrive
@oliviawilde@j_odough@leadwithQ@LALGBTCenter As a parent, i’ve been there (who hasn’t). And your humility and willingness to accept help was equally admirable. I hope y’all were able to get some rest and ice cream in later that day. 🍦 Heat + nap time + little ones is tough
@oliviawilde@oliviawilde my team was so glad to help, having 0 awareness who you were and 100% empathizing with the helplessness of the situation. @j_odough (they/them), @leadwithQ (he/him) and I were out on lunch with our amazing youth intern from @LALGBTCenter

@oliviawilde@j_odough@leadwithQ@LALGBTCenter It was her last day of the internship, after completing 100hrs and moving on to new opportunities and stability. We wanted it to be special, and part of that ended up including the values we hold really closely as a team: kindness, compassion, and taking risks.
