@MarketWatcher00 which is why your example is inconsistent
English

@MarketWatcher00 Let me tell you where you're mistaken. The companies you gave as examples are giant corporations, and even if they get into debt, they can amortize themselves because large companies grow through debt. But this isn't true for small-scale companies

$BYND financial concern insight👇
Debt > market cap looks alarming at first glance, but it’s not an automatic death sentence. What matters is cash runway, refinancing ability, margins, and demand trends, not just the market‑cap snapshot.
BYND’s debt is high, yes — but the full picture includes ~$195M in cash and an enterprise value of ~$723M, which is the more complete valuation metric.
And historically, plenty of companies have traded with debt exceeding market cap and still survived or recovered:
• Ford (2008–2010) — debt > market cap during the crisis, restructured, survived
• AMC (2020–2021) — debt-heavy, market cap collapsed, still operating
• Carnival (2020–2022) — debt far above equity value, refinanced, continued operations
• Macy’s (2017–2020) — traded below debt, stabilized via restructuring
• Nokia (2012–2013) — debt + obligations > equity, pivoted and survived
So yes — BYND’s leverage is a real risk. But saying “only beginners dream about companies like this” oversimplifies how capital structures work. Distressed valuations don’t automatically equal zero. Stock setiment matters most.

$BYND The company’s market capitalization is $417 million, while its debt is $500 million. Do you know what that means? Dreaming about a company whose debt exceeds its market value is something only beginners do, and in the end they lose all their money 🤷♂️

@_Xylia29A @AldrinGiler You shouldn't dream; Beyond needs to fix its financial statements before it can reach $10, and that seems very difficult right now.

@AldrinGiler on god if $BYND hit at least $10 ill retire early. That's how much shares im holding
English

@AldrinGiler I think you should stop getting involved with the stock market. The two companies you're comparing are very different. Monster's market value is $74 billion, while Beyond Meat's market value is $450 million. Monster reported positive financial results.
