Last month my intern asked for help with a Kubernetes error. He was stuck on a YAML file. He looked desperate. I make $275,000 a year. I haven't written a line of code since 2017. I don't even know what a "pod" is. But I didn't tell him that. I leaned back in my Herman Miller chair. I said, "Stop trying to code. Start prompting." I told him to paste the error into ChatGPT. He did. The AI told him to delete the cluster. He did. Production went down instantly. The CEO called me screaming. I didn't panic. I told the CEO we were "testing our disaster recovery protocols." He was impressed by my foresight. I got a bonus. The intern got fired. Innovation requires sacrifice. Just not mine.

@chemo_tirupati @DealsDhamaka I generally refrain from commenting, but when I see ths privilege driven racism, my patience runs thin. Very purpose of public entities is to ensure service for all -> necessity of progress. If not sbi or such PSUs who’ll provide banking services to utmost “lossy” rural areas?

@DealsDhamaka I don't give a flying fuck. They shouldn't exist at all. We don't need an inefficient, loss making bank burning through tax payers money to provide shitty service.

All the mockery is fine, but let’s not forget that SBI staff are among the most hardworking. I have a friend who’s a manager at SBI, and she works late into the evenings almost every day. With the rapid digitization of banking over the past decade, their work hours have become even more demanding. On the customer side, they serve a wide range of people especially in rural areas and across diverse economic backgrounds. That requires immense patience, as they often need to explain things in detail and guide customers to ensure they make the right choices. It’s a job that involves real handholding.

@Akshat_World Like any YT influencer with wide reach giving financial advice without actual knowledge (unlike you) can ruin peoples lives, personas followed by millions when preaches and celebrates pseudoscience, can contribute to fatal consequences. Thus, must be refuted for greater good

Vidit was not giving a lecture on science. He shared a family picture. And, got bullied for it. Imagine: you sharing a family photo. And, random dudes with influence start schooling you on your parent's/family's profession. And, discrediting their entire professional existence. How would you feel? Of course you would come out and defend your family. Anyone would. As far as the science behind Ayurveda or whatever it is: I am not arguing against the doc. He is entitled to his views. And, maybe he is right. I don't know. But, one could make their opinions known, without being an ass to someone's family. Being an accomplished professional. And, being a decent human should NOT be mutually exclusive.

Hello, Vidit. I am not a fan of chess, but you are an important person for our country and I did not mean to offend your family. I am sure they are good people. I was stating plain facts from a professional standpoint and I do not mince my words. You may call that ego or whatever, to console yourself, no problem. Your statement on Doctors Day claiming an Ayurveda practitioner, Homeopath, Cosmetologist and a Physiotherapist were doctors is wrong and I stand by my words. Doctors' Day in India marks both the birth and death anniversary of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, one of India's most revered physicians and a key figure in shaping the healthcare system. Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Cosmetology or Physiotherapy are not realistic clinical medicine or and their practitioners are not clinical physicians. Physiotherapy is a legit branch of healthcare (adjunct to clinical medicine), but the rest are just plain sham - especially Homeopathy, which is also known as N*zi Medicine because H*tler tried to integrate it with conventional medicine at the time. You got all worked up and started personally attacking me because you were ignorant of this fact. I do not need to keep an ego towards a chess GM or his family. You don't make me insecure and your family is of no concern to me from a professional standpoint. But what you claim them to be - has major public health consequence, because someone of your stature, being ignorant about science and health affects public perception of realistic healthcare and pseudoscientific practices. Your statements normalize pseudoscience and primitive therapies as healthcare practices when they are not. They are alternative medicine. And alternative medicine is medicine that is not proven to work. Just like there is no alternative chemistry, alternative physics or alternative mathematics, alternative medicine is also not medicine. And its practitioners are not doctors. I am a certified internist with a doctorate in hepatology and liver transplant medicine with 260 peer reviewed scientific publications, 4400 citations and h-index of 30 (just for your information). You don't know me and how useful I am to my patients and their families. I suggest you do a bit of homework before throwing such childish tantrums. I am staying in my lane and always have. Calling out medical misinformation is what I do apart from being a full-time doctor. I suggest you stay in your lane and discuss more on chess. Sorry for the checkmate. And for a change, talk about chess and try being useful. All the best for your future matches.

Excited to launch Data Explorer in @juliusai today! 🚀 We built this to eliminate tedious data validation steps. Now you can easily inspect and validate data at each step and ask Julius to edit it - all in one place. Feedback welcome!

I’ve rebuilt my S.F. municipal code agent 3 times in the past 24 hours with ChatGPT. Then this morning a YC founder suggested I just use a detailed prompt and deep research 😩 - trying this now while I have my 3rd ChatGPT project build full map of the SF Municipal code. Feeling excited by the possibilities- also many of you have reached out with mvps of your own - thank you!!

@ashoswai I am in no way a supporter of Modi the politician or the party BJP, but as a researcher on AI ML bias, I can confirm that what he said here is not incorrect. This is the problem of stereotypical bias that the model learns from the biased data.

@DRIVVEN @krassenstein @BlackkSunn19 @realDonaldTrump “The nature of the study means researchers cannot prove a causal link, but they believe the “blue light” emitted by the LEDs may be disrupting the body’s circadian rhythm, which in turn affects hormone levels” Lolz studies based on belief 😅 now science can peacefully die🥲

Yes. they do. There are a number of studies. Some were not funded or they lost funding under Biden because they did not want people to know. It could be worse than smoking. It's undisputed that they cause inflammation which is really bad for your health. Studies are underway all over the world and you make this arrogant and ignorant comment. lightaware.org/new-led-street…

VERY IMPORTANT BJP has unleashed a sinister toolkit in Bengal. The agenda is focused - to topple the Govt There's an organized campaign being run by BJP by trending "Mamata Must Resign" A genuine protest has been hijacked entirely by BJP. Proof? Thread with details 🧵 👇
