@rIndianFootball @coachprad 5k modular stadia require very less space as compared to larger stadia where you want to pack in a track, gym, steeplechase pit, vast swathes of unused runway space. Have been to smaller stadia where you can cover the whole thing by walk in 5 minutes. Intent and know-how missing

@coachprad Yes sure. But even then I find it difficult that clubs will invest in building stadiums given the land costs in metro and tier 1 cities. Even IPL franchisees with all that money haven't considered building own infra

With your logic Govt. should not spend on non-cricket infra because low returns? And we expect to host an Olympics someday with such attitude? The ask is to spend 10% of the amount being spent for IPL. Not asking to build a Wembley Stadium costing $1 billion

Imagine your team is playing the biggest tournament in its recent history, which also acts as FIFA Women’s World Cup and Olympic qualifiers, and two days before the match the players are forced to write a letter like this. Most likely, the blame will go to the vendor, but what about the AIFF leadership and employees responsible for this situation? For not organising the IWL on time, for arranging just three international friendlies, and for mishandling exposure tours in the build-up to the AFC Women’s Asian Cup. I think you pointed out two of the factors. However, going into the deets, this is because Indian set ups train technique in isolation whereas a football match is about executing technique under pressure and with opposition. Also clearly, the IWL isn't at international intensity

In August when the Bangalore league filled with internationals and the IWL happened, 2 players stood out. Sanfida Nongrum scored 14, the one who scored the highest - 17 wasn't even picked. Spare a thought for Kajol D'Souza today.

Karthika Angamuthu isn't the quickest - on her feet. Cerebrally, she's been the heartbeat of every team that she's been a part of. Frozen out, barely played the qualifiers, yet still very much a thinking person's player.
