I had a long conversation with my hair dresser about her new favorite show, Mayor of Kingstown, except the whole time I was accidentally talking about Mare of Easttown. Mare/Mayor, tomato tomato. It's hard.

The main activity was taking my kids to a water park when it was 75 degrees outside, like I'm a polar bear and not an actual tropical lizard.

There's a lot of Internet space given to childhood fears that turned out to not be a big deal, so I'd like to direct your attention to a childhood fear that holds up. Snapping turtles. Terrifying as a child, terrifying as an adult, but I seem to come across them more often now.

A really great part of parenting is receiving the group class picture. Kids pull off the weirdest looks while trying to look normal as they stand on bleachers in a gym. Digital cameras have made no difference.
