UPDATE: The issue has been resolved, the train has moved, and all impacted crossings are reopened to traffic.

The railroad company is currently working to resolve the issue. We do not yet have an ETA for when the issue will be resolved and the crossings will be clear. Expect traffic delays as you approach Abram / Division.

TRAFFIC ALERT: A train experiencing mechanical issues is stopped on the tracks near Downtown Arlington, blocking multiple crossings through the area. Drivers needing to travel north / south should use Highway 360, Stadium Dr, Collins St, or Fielder Road.

A shopper had left the backpack there and returned a short time later to claim it. No criminal offense occurred. Mall operations were not impacted. The scene is all clear and everything is back to normal.

Since we've received a few questions, we want to share details about police activity at the Parks Mall this afternoon. We were notified that an unattended backpack was found near a parking garage. First responders investigated and determined there was nothing hazardous inside.

Traffic Alert 🚨 APD is currently working a major accident involving two vehicles at Cooper St. and Eden Rd. Northbound Cooper at Eden is shut down while officers investigate and crews work to clear the scene. Please avoid the area and seek alternate routes if possible.
