The two main reasons Slot is staying, IMO, are : - FSG don’t want to spend big this summer — a new big name manager would demand major funds to rebuild the squad. - Edwards and Hughes don't want to give up control, someone like Alonso would want more control than Slot has. FSG’s lack of new contracts shows they have very little faith in Edwards Slot and Hughes, and they seem happy to write off 26/27😢

I love Alexis Mac Allister, he’s been brilliant for Liverpool, but I’ve gone into almost every game this season thinking “we’ll be better off if Mac Allister doesn’t start.” Doesn’t solve everything, but his lack of legs is such a big problem. So don’t start him tomorrow.

Don't agree, we don't have many players who run in behind, and you could play Szoboszlai there and his passing is as good if not better than Whartons. The issue is glaring is not having a replacement for Fabinho, a 6 is arguably the top 3 most important position on the pitch now 👍

I’ve just spent 50 mins on the stepper watching Wharton comps. He’s basically the Trent in midfield. There is no doubt he’ll benefit the attackers but Florian Wirtz could be the biggest beneficiary. A hard working RW is a must but Wirtz receiving in the right areas is key. #LFC

Styles matter, but so do attributes, and Gordon statistically per 90 brings more pace, directness & work rate we’re clearly lacking right now.

I've watched every game and he doesn't do that much anymore compared to two years ago. It depends how much of that is him as a player /instructions or if its attitude

He grafts, runs in behind & stretches teams, something we’ve lacked all season. Plus hes scouse and will bring the identity & fight this teams been missing!
