Since 2 pm today, I have been sitting at a police station in Delhi with a young woman to get her FIR filed A serial criminal and notorious illegal arms supplier who is currently in jail, Mohd Fahim, trapped her because his maulvi mama told him that since he cannot go out of India for Haj given his criminal record, he must get a Hindu woman converted to Islam for same ‘sabaab’ to enter jannat (watch her video statement recorded by me) The woman, who is a Hindu from a scheduled caste, has been through a lot in last 4 years: gangrape, threats, force-feeding of cow meat, abuse, trauma and, most recently, threats from his jail cell Statement given. #WATCH | Pune PC Amitesh Kumar says, "Around 8 p.m. today, we got some information that there was a bomb like device found on the hospital premises. The police team, along with the bomb disposal squad, immediately reached the spot. The bomb disposal squad carried this device after following due mandated protocols and took it to an open ground at the gliding centre. The bomb was successfully defused. The Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) team did a commendable job. All teams have been put in service to investigate the case. Fascinating argument worth debating. My first question, @drajaykumar_ias, is what’s in it for India to do this? There are ample natural synergies as you point out, but deeper security involvement in the Gulf carries many downside risks with few apparent benefits.
