Lemme just say that subway accessibility is a real problem and in NYC most stops aren’t ADA compliant, which is the absolute bare minimum.
But: car centered transportation isn’t a systemic fix for disability issues— many disabled people can’t drive but *can* use public transit, and streets designed around privileging cars are much less accommodating for pedestrians, including people who wheel or need canes.
