I think as an ending for that series it is abysmal dogshit. But its a reminder that the Imperium excels at producing the worst people and promotes selfishness, sadism and ruthlessnes. The Palatine is dead and can't dispute that Superior's decision, who was waiting for the excuse to go around the Palatine to turbo punish the novitiate. It's more a case of that, with her escalating it to an Anchorite instead of enforcing the novitiate to go Repentia. She had to really pull a move to even get the Anchorite for that. The Sororitas also arent as forgiving as the SpaceMarines, like how the ultramarines would have been to titus if he was indeed handed to the chaplain. The Imperium isnt fair and nobody will care about the Novitiate. The Imperium excels at lying to itself, they say they do it for the Emperor but just believing in the Emperor means nothing, since a hive scum will have him tattoed on his chest while gunning down urchins and a radical inquisitor will do the same while opening a daemon portal in the middle of the same hive. The Imperium is a squabbling sea of petty fiefdoms and conflicting domains ran by the most ruthless, cruel bastards possible, always looking to one-up each other. Then again as a story ending it sucks, I agree. But it's also perfectly within how the setting works.

INVINCIBLE SPOILERS . . . . . . . . I always thought conquests death was one of the dumbest things in the comic because if he could pierce marks stomach / spine why didn't he just chop his arms off its a great moment don't get me wrong but it really hinges on Conquest being dumb

Is there actually a choice based game where your choices ACTUALLY REALLY matter? Like, the story is actually significantly different. No Telltale or LIS game has achieved this. LiS2 probably sold the illusion the best. Until Dawn and Heavy Rain maybe?
