Not sure anyone has noticed this but there is a big liquidity crisis happening at the moment.

🚨 Big news from us at @uncipheredLLC: We've publicly disclosed vulnerabilities in BitcoinJS-based wallets generated between 2011 and 2016. The coordinated disclosure has gone smoothly so far. Vendors have notified over a million wallet holders! (please migrate your crypto from old addresses – don't be the 'I told you so' example!) I was shocked by the amount of BTC in old addresses from the impacted timeframe. BitcoinJS wallets were very easy to setup which contributed to them having a large market share (and likely did a lot to boost crypto adoption). Note: estimating the total impacted amount is hard – there are large uncertainties on the estimates and a lot of nuance in all of this. Not that it matters. Please just migrate your old crypto before bad actors do it for you. Not a BitcoinJS user? Still, move that old crypto! Private keys age like milk, not wine – the older, the riskier. 🥛 Migrating wallets? Yep, a huge pain in the🫏– I know because I'm in the process of migrating my own. My strategy? I gifted myself a new laptop, new HW wallet and imposed a self-ban from using my old wallets on the new devices. When the urge to transact with an old wallet hits, I either use my old laptop or I transfer the crypto to a fresh wallet on the shiny new setup. 🚀 #Randstorm

@kwiledirects @ameensol Agreed. I have been seeing ragequit brought up with dao governance tokens and I think the ragequit is you dump your tokens. Other option is token voting to dissolve (51% attack). Saying these organizations need ragequit implies some degree of pro-rata which if 100% breaks them.

@ArtOstergaard @ameensol Very much not a fan of equating DAO governance tokens with pro-rata claims on DAO treasury assets. Sets a terrible precedent IMPO. The only exception should be DAOs actually set up like a MolochDAO where DAO members have directly contributed funds to the communal DAO treasury.

another DAO having an "exit-stential" conversation about the "ragequit" if you don't give people free exit rights, don't be surprised when they get frustrated and make a stink in your DAO ragequit is fundamental

SBF confessing to wire fraud via twitter DM and then the next morning confirming it was him and not a hacker... Not what I expected but I'll take it.

@hasufl @ameensol Blowing up in the fork where eth is less valuable is not the same as deciding the winning fork.

@ameensol that's a strawman if you ask me. Rai would also blow up in a fork, depending on how much less the forkchain-ETH is gonna be valued by the market.
