Small sneak peak of things to come, the cut VR Mission from MGS2 Substance (ESCAPE MISSION) is present in the script sources, albeit it's missing a lot of init scripts (probably because it was written for an old version of the game) which i'm rewriting.

Sad news for the French games industry. Spiders Studio, the Paris-based developer known for games like GreedFall, Steelrising, The Technomancer, and Mars: War Logs, is shutting down. Founded in 2008, the studio has been a subsidiary of Nacon and is shutting down because no one wants to buy it. The court-appointed administrator is expected to request judicial liquidation this Wednesday, and it’s described as largely a formality. Over the last few days, the team of around 70 people has moved from working on future projects to updating CVs and handling practical matters like buying studio equipment. Hoping for the best for the developers affected.

PlayStation support has confirmed that a new digital rights management policy for the console is intentional, not a glitch. Starting with any digital games purchased after the March 2026 system update, your PS5 will require an internet connection at least once every 30 days to validate the license. If the console stays offline longer than that, the games simply will not launch until you reconnect. This change does not affect any titles already in your library. Setting a console as your primary system also will not bypass the monthly check-in.

Troy Baker, the voice actor known for roles like Joel in The Last of Us and Booker DeWitt in BioShock Infinite, is exploring making his own video game. He is in early talks about starting his own studio. Baker wants to create stories as strong as those from Todd Howard and Ken Levine. He said: “So, I am going to take my time, because I want to make sure that, when I finally do tell a story, it’s one of just as high a caliber of those that I am trying to emulate.”
