@RacingDerek @Fairyhouse On exiting the racecourse I noticed a very stern sign up saying "No re entry once in the racecourse". A UK style sign telling us not to do things. This isn't the Ireland I fell in love with. What's happening?

A superb Day 1 at @Fairyhouse . Just one thing. Very disappointed that the tea and coffee kiosks are now card only. There are many reasons why we love Irish racing. Please racecourses, don't ruin it by taking those reasons away. Cash is king in Ireland. Rant over. Racing superb.

🚨 Leopardstown update 🚨 Peter Roe, head of HRI racecourses: "I've just walked the course with the track team here at Leopardstown and we're getting there. We're still the wrong side of the line but we're a lot closer to the line than we were this morning. "It's still not raceable, but it's getting there. It's been a drying day and there is a dry forecast so a full night of Leopardstown soakage should get us to where we want to be in the morning. @racehorsesrace1 Yes..spend more time with this horse than I do my own family!! Hopefully not the 'idiot' you suggested I am in our first interaction!! Whilst I don't think it's my place to share any veterinary history of this horse, I can assure you that he has been thoroughly checked since!

@ArtheyBen OK so your connected to horse, makes sense? Strange one, not ever seen the like before, why I was fascinating as it was my job in past and I'm interested in cause..he was off for a long time What was issue there, or issues?

@racehorsesrace1 Luckily he was ok and walked back into the stable yard sound afterwards and has been fine since!

@racehorsesrace1 The shoe was intact and no marks! Not sure about a drama king but definitely a very sensitive soul!

@ArtheyBen Trying to work it out, nothing as usual in stewards report which reports any horse as having lost a shoe but not this, surely the jockey said something at scales Maybe a shoe slip and nail caught him, or he just struck himself and is a drama king🤔😅

@ThomasClay3 @Harry05Derham @RacingHOTSR Is it something to do with the frost (covers) leading to dead ground and the lack of slide. Having said that, think these 2 fatalities would have sadly occured on any ground.

An utterly miserable day at Kempton Park today losing Wertpol who we only had the good fortune of having in our yard for a short period of time. He was a bright talent who was fresh and happy doing his work everyday, often playing around and expressing himself. He loved his job and I am so sad for his Heart of the south syndicate, who are the most wonderful group of people. Racing at times can at times be a painful sport and today has been a tough day for a number of connections. A day to forget.

@agentbloodstock And proud you should be, not only for his riding achievements, but for the way he conducted himself out of the saddle. Don't think there was ever a time that I collected his saddle that he didn't offer to give me a hand!

Very proud of my son Ben Bromley who has decided to call time on his race riding career, doing it on his own terms, finishing safe and sound. 44 winners under Rules plus 23 pt-pt wins. Given many of us some great memories. Wishing him all the best for his next chapter.
