@FrankMcG You think so? I think most people don’t actually care until it becomes a problem for them specifically.

The vast majority are not going to leave a platform they see being controlled heavily by one person to another platform that is also heavily controlled by one person (e.g., Mastodon, Forum, Discord). You need an entirely new org to create an entirely new social media platform.

@sherrod_im @trashp4ndasec Why can’t it be both? To borrow the accounting example: If I turn in bad expense reports, that’s my fault. If they get approved, now two people (or groups) are at fault. We can’t pretend like responsibility never bleeds over in to other areas.

@ArthurianRed @trashp4ndasec We are putting the onus on users to do our jobs for us. No one has ever asked me to do accounting at work. We’re failing, not them.

We’re in this highly educated industry. With a lot of ego. We’re so smart, so trained, so certified. But for some reason it’s “Dave in accounting” who is the failure. He’s the reason for the breach, not us! Dave was my number one line of defense! 🤦🏻‍♀️

Those wraps made of carrots or tomatoes really should come with a warning that if you do not finish eating them within 8 minutes or less, you will be holding a 🥕 or 🍅 gel that clings loosely yet vengefully to what was inside your wrap sandwich. I need my wraps to be wraps later
