Entonces el desarrollo inicial de Uncharted 4 bajo la dirección de Amy Hennig estuvo marcado por una dinámica de "toxicidad positiva". El prestigio y la excelencia alcanzados con la trilogía previa crearon un ambiente donde las decisiones creativas rara vez se debatían. Sin embargo, esta burbuja estalló al presentar una demo que un espectador externo describió como un absoluto desastre. Resulta intrigante imaginar el estado de esa versión para que la propia Sony amenazara con retirar el financiamiento. Aunque el proyecto finalmente triunfó, aquella etapa dejó una profunda huella de tensión en las oficinas de Naughty Dog. Han pasado más de 10 años desde esos sucesos y aún siguen saliendo nuevos detalles.
