Dialogue mock up test Magica's art are placeholders until the finalized versions are done. Special thanks to Caitlin for providing the voice for Magica. I'll probably have to find some more voice actors for the other characters as well and test character switching too.

This isn’t important, but the Switch 2 update that allows Switch 1 games in handheld mode to work as if they’re docked with higher resolutions is pretty crazy and makes me happy how well it works. I wish they had this shit since the start.

@IndieGameJoe I'm already way too deep in my project to second guess and turn back now. It will probably go unnoticed once its all said and done, but I at least had fun working on it, learning new skills and meeting some amazing folks along the way. So I think it will be worth it regardless.

@Arton_Project Yeah that makes total sense! I also love the idea of making your own universe of games as well. That might not all need to be platformers of deck builders, but intertwining the heroes and etc would also be amazing.

Fun fact: 75% of indies on Steam only release one game. Which is interesting... because once you ship your first game, youve already done the hardest part. The pipelines exist, connections are made, lessons are learned. A second project in theory, should be easier to produce.

@VoidmawGames Yeah, I'm hoping to go into more of a direction of games of old like Mario, Sonic, Megaman etc having multiple entries for their IP's. I noticed many indies tend to go the DLC route for their games, which makes sense as they can build more on the games they already established.

@ChikoritaCheez Did they ever elaborate much on who the G-Men actually are? I know their mentioned several times in the show, but from what I could look up, apparently they elaborated very little on them other than that they are a detective group and that Lance is the only known member of it...

In the selection screen of Super Smash Bros. Melee, characters are represented by artwork instead of 3D models. However, unused "selected" animations for the fighters' models exist in the files for a scrapped 3D selection screen. Some of these are broken due to being unfinished.

Character dialogue finally implemented, special thanks to Jaber Neto for all the help! Also adjusted attack knockback so Levi can send her enemies flying, just need to add hit stop & stun so her attacks have more weight plus allow her to act out more reliably to perform combos.

Project WIP Dust VFX for Levi's grounded movement has been added, love the cartoony effect it gives when she's dashing. Also changed her down charge attack and rapid jab finish animations to look a bit more dynamic and hopefully compliment her move set a bit better.

@Gale_Storm_ Thanks! Yeah it probably looks fine with Levi, though I am a bit more concerned about the Witches and Magician's with their big hats taking up screen space and accidentally hiding enemies from the player haha. I'll play around with the portrait sizes and see what works best.

@Arton_Project I think it looks great. I don't think I typically see a character portrait visible while the player still has control, but this works just fine. I don't think it's intrusive. A toggle is a good idea, just in case.

Dialogue mock up. Just testing how the dialogue will work in game, not sure if the sprites take up too much space but I guess we'll have to experiment with that. You'll be able to customise how the dialogue looks a bit, or turn it off entirely if you don't want it.

@inkfycreates I'm probably the only one crazy enough to not really mind the lull on my page too much. I know I'll eventually have to try and get my work out there, but for now I'm fine with having a small group of people following my work and not rush things. But that's probably just me...

This is a key factor people don't really get about the "draw for yourself" thing. At the end of the day, if social media went our tomorrow, would you find any fulfillment with what you shared? If the answer is "no", you're going to be miserable.
