Joliet 86 Fine Arts

This is Jefferson's Art All Star, Jacob. He is imaginative, creative, and works hard to improve his skills. He has grown into an amazing artist and we can't wait to see what he creates in the future!

This is Pershing's Music All-Star, Natalie. Her dedication in music class and choir is inspiring. She learns music independently at home and plays memorized songs for the class. She has been a member of the choir for 3 concerts and is interested in joining band next year.

Gompers Art All Star is Aleen. Her artwork will be featured at both the Library and the Art Show, which is an incredible achievement. She genuinely loves learning and shines in every area, especially the Fine Arts. Aleen is always prepared, always on time, always giving her best!

Esperanza is a first‑grade student at Sandburg, who consistently demonstrates strong musical growth. She asks thoughtful questions and is doing great on her rhythm and singing! Way to go!

Zeke is a first grader who loves creating and exploring music. He loves playing the piano during music class and is always full of creative ideas!

Congratulations to the @JeffersonD86 Choir who performed at last week's school board meeting. In addition @HuffordD86 and @WashingtonD86 students were recognized for representing District 86 at the @ILMEA1 festival.

🎶 Our 4th graders, in Ms. Pito's class at Taft, rocked their recorders today! 🎶So proud of their hard work!

America loves art because it shows the creativity inside of people! Way to go!

5th Grade students at Singleton did an AMAZING job of their Graphic Design Packages! They learned about Pop Artists such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Claes Oldenburg while focusing on their Typography Lettering and Coloring Skills to make 3D wrappers.

Gael is a Jefferson music All-Star! He is a model student and Jefferson's youngest choir member. His enthusiasm, dedication, and love for music shine through. He is always ready with a smile and a strong singing voice. We are so proud to have such a bright musician at Jefferson!

Mateo always puts in his best effort and works hard to perfect his masterpieces. He is an All Star because of the amazing artwork he creates as well as his amazing attitude in school. Way to go Mateo!!

Anna is an All Star and finds ways to let her creativity shine through in everything she does.  As well as being a talented artist, she is also always willing to help out a classmate. Way to go Anna!!

Last week was full of incredible experiences! Our All City Mariachi performed at the ALAS Summit, Junior High Orchestra students took part in Orchestra Fest at Joliet West, and students explored their creativity in an art workshop with Artist Sijia Chen!

Eugene is a 5th grader at Pershing Elementary. Eugene's enthusiasm for music is infectious! He is a leader in the music room and the choir. He loves to sing and continues his journey in choir after a successful year of concerts as a 4th grader. So proud of you Eugene!
