We found that Exoplanet K2-18 b could potentially be a hydrothermal world w/ a hot, supercritical water ocean mixing into the atmosphere!   This unique ocean may be inhabitable, but it could be an exotic environment unlike anything on Earth. 🌌 Check out our paper to learn more:

@techno0ptimist I don't think it is a good idea to train urgency, as it stresses the mind and the body, which is a state that cannot and should not be maintained (also makes us age faster). Alertness (or having a sharp mind) is trained with mental exercises (e.g. sudoku).

something I never thought about until now: what weathering and erosional processes are there on the Venus surface? There’s no liquid water and temperatures are fairly constant. Are there strong winds given the high air density? What made those cracks in the image? Lava cooling?

@techno0ptimist I think everyone has their own reasons to make children, with more or less defined expectations. Plus, intelligence is not only academic success, the child can be an art or sports genius. If anything, I think the latter happens way more often.

The thought that two very smart people having children together are likely to produce a child much less intelligent than them absolutely terrifies me ngl
