The elusive Pallas’s Cat has been documented for the first time in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tawang District. The cat was reported in the joint Forest-WWF India wildlife monitoring exercise. This discovery highlights the rich biodiversity of Arunachal’s high-altitude landscapes.

The Centre for Bear Rehabilitation and Conservation at Pakke Tiger Reserve has made significant progress in rehabilitating orphaned Asiatic Black Bear cubs, Papum and Tezu. Through dedicated care and training, the team is preparing the cubs for a successful return to the wild.

The Department of Environment, Forest & Climate Change has unveiled the Biodiversity Map of Arunachal Pradesh, highlighting the state's rich ecological wealth. This invaluable tool will drive informed environmental protection efforts and help preserve our natural heritage.

Arunachal’s rich biodiversity now has a specialized map that visually captures the distribution and variety of species and ecosystems of our State. Kudos to everyone involved in creating this map, which will play a crucial role in promoting and conserving our natural heritage.

For promotion of conservation education, the Biodiversity Map of the State of Arunachal Pradesh was released today.

As part of the #EkPedMaaKeNaam campaign, the Botanical Survey of India (BSI) and the Zoological Survey of India (ZSI) Arunachal Pradesh Regional Centre, Itanagar, collaboratively organized a tree plantation drive in Itanagar.
